Conservatives dislike academics for one of two main reasons, typically. Some of them dislike them because they claim that all academics know is on paper and they have no concept of the "real world" (I put that in inverted commas as John Mayer was so correct with that song. Everybody's concept of reality is different. Yes, we all have common struggles, but an ER Doctor sees a different side to reality and humanity to a mechanic) and others because the new ideas challenge their prejudices. If we look at the A-Hole who is facing 91 felony indictments, he refers to the educated as the elite, but he is a person who purports to be wealthy, yet the truth is something different.

And let's not forget that in Britain, and in Australia, and it's probably not talked about as much in the USA, there are MANY talented young female doctors who have been sexually harassed or assaulted by male colleagues or superiors.

In Australia, there is a despicable right-wing female politician, by the name of Pauline Hanson, who is like the A-Hole I mentioned above, and her right-hand man has an Engineering Degree from Australia and an MBA from the USA, and he's complete idiot! He infamously, when debating Professor Brian Cox, on TV, accused NASA of corrupting data to prove global warming! And tried to make himself sound half intelligent by interrupting and continually asking Professor Brian Cox to "show me the empirical evidence."

Racism exists at all echelons of society. And then, we have idiots, like Hanson, who, if a BIPOC is awarded a position, makes the claim that there's "reverse racism". Okay, Hanson left school at 15, but in 1998, when Olympian Cathy Freeman was made Australian of the Year and Tan Le Young Australian of the Year, Hanson claimed that they shouldn't have been given the awards and that they were a slap in the face to her! Cathy Freeman is an Indigenous Australian (she has a Chinese great-great-grandfather, as well) and Tan Le was born to Vietnamese parents.
